At Central Presbyterian Church, we believe that we are called to serve others because God first came as Christ Jesus to serve and to save us.
We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
Our mission field begins with our first step outside our church building door and reaches around the world.
Missions
Geneseo/Groveland Emergency Food Pantry and Community Kitchen
As the home for the area Food Pantry, we assist individuals in need by distributing non-perishable food, produce grown in our Community Garden, and kids snack bags. We also distribute free books to the children of families who use the food pantry. Contact the Food Pantry directly at 585-991-8220.
Partnership with Cultures Learning TOGETHER
Central works alongside the participants of Cultures Learning Together to break down the barriers of language and culture that can prevent individuals from forming relationships of understanding and mutual respect. We learn, eat, and celebrate together!
Partnerships with International Clergy and Churches
Every year, Central forms partnerships with international churches (for example, from Ghana, Egypt, and Kenya). CPC pays the tuition for international pastors to further their theological education at Pittsburgh Theological Sminary so that they can return better equipped to serve their churches.
