The Rev. Evan Wildhack

Pastor

Rev. Evan Wildhack is a lifelong Presbyterian and Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC(USA). Born in Panama while his father served as a Navy chaplain, Evan grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, where his parents initially co-pastored Maximo Presbyterian Church. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music (with a minor in Christian Education) from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, and a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (the same school as his installed predecessor, Rev. Nancy Lowmaster).

Ordained in 2019, Evan has served congregations in Virginia and New York and also completed a pastoral residency in Iowa. He is active in the life of the Presbytery of Genesee Valley, currently serving as Moderator-Elect and as a member of the Mission Commission and Personnel Committee, and will serve as a Teaching Elder Commissioner to the 227th General Assembly in 2026.

Evan is passionate about Christ-centered worship, thoughtful preaching, congregational song, and pastoral care across the generations. A musician as well as a pastor, he plays flute and piano and sings tenor. Known for his approachable style, steady leadership, and warm sense of humor that is rarely turned off, Evan brings both creativity and care to ministry.

Outside the church, he enjoys television shows/franchises like Star Trek, Grey's Anatomy, and Survivor, and he also enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, long drives, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays.
