It
is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name,
O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night. |
| WORSHIP |
| Worship Schedule |
| Services are held each Sunday morning year round at
10:00 a.m. with the sacrament of Holy Communion observed
the first Sunday of the month. Children begin worship
in the sanctuary and then may attend a story hour if they
wish. During the summer months worship is frequently held
outside in the church's Field of Dreams. |
| Special
Services |
| Christmas Eve services include an early evening service
for families and a late evening communion service. The
congregation observes Maundy Thursday with an evening
Communion service. |
| Ecumenical
Services |
| Central Presbyterian Church traditionally joins other
village congregations for worship in the Village Park
one Sunday each July and participates in other ecumenical
village services. |
| The Central Presbyterian Church
is handicapped accessible. |

| MUSIC |
| Philosophy |
| The
above passage from Psalm 92 is the basis of the music program
at Central. Our purpose is praising God and leading others in
worship, which we seek to do in exciting and relevant ways. |
| Frequent
appearances of guest musicians supplement the fine music of
those who are a regular part of our worship, all of which brings
spontaneity and variety to our worship experience. |
| As
we praise God together, we also seek to find joy and fellowship
in our work. |
 |
| Choirs |
Chancel
Choir (High School through Adults)
Children's Choir (Pre-School through Fifth Grade)
Adult Handbell Choir (High School through Adults)
Youth Handbell Choir (Fourth Grade through Eighth Grade) |
| The
Chancel Choir sings every Sunday, September through June; the
Adult Handbell Choir performs frequently during Advent, Christmas,
Lent, and Easter, and monthly during the rest of the year. The
younger groups perform monthly. |
| Our
Organ |
| The
Sanctuary Organ, a 1950 eleven rank Môller, has been rebuilt
by Parsons Pipe Organ Builders of Canandaigua, NY. Currently
it is a three manual and pedal instrument of forty speaking
stops from 38 ranks of pipes. The organ committee was most impressed
by instruments which Parsons has built, and we are very excited
about this wonderful addition to our church. |
